Drumma Boy Talks Young Buck Mixtape, New Gucci Mane/Master P Collabo, Jeezy LP & More

Most hip-hop producers say they're working hard, but how many of them really mean it?
"I stay up for two or three days at a time," says producer Christopher "Drumma Boy"Gholson. "Like, I just worked 48 hours straight in the studio. Not everyone knows the Drumma Boy name yet, so I have to put in that work. They'll know me soon enough."
Even if you don't know the name, there's a good chance you know Drumma Boy's music. He's the guy who produced "Umma Do Me" for Rocko back in 2007, "Put On" for Young Jeezy in 2008, "Money to Blow" for BirdmanLil Wayne and Drake in 2009 and, most recently, "No Hands" for Waka Flocka FlameRoscoe Dash and Wale. In fact, just a few months ago, VIBE.com even caught with him to talk about the fact that he had a slew of projects dropping over the summer.
But because he's working so hard and working with so many different artists these days, it's starting to become a little bit difficult to keep up with Drumma Boy's resume. With that in mind, we caught up with the Memphis-born, Atlanta-based producer again to talk about the new Young Buck mixtape, Back on My Buck Shit 2: Change of Plans, that he just produced, a top-secret Gucci Mane/Master P collaboration he's got in the can, the success of Waka Flocka Flame's single, "No Hands," and a couple of other projects he's completed recently. Stop sleeping on him.
