Billboard reports that Diddy will be playing New York police detective Reggie Williams, who travels to Honolulu on a "solo mission to hunt for the men responsible for a crime against his family," when he runs into the members of the 'Five-O' team.
Diddy recently won over audiences with a comedic turn in 'Get Him to the Greek,' and has also appeared in 'Monster's Ball,' and 'Made.' In preparation for the role, Diddy will be undergoing weapons training with a Navy S.E.A.L., and, in typical Diddy fashion, his music will also appear in the episode, which is scheduled to air this spring. We're guessing we'll see some Ciroc bottles in there somewhere, as well.
The original 'Hawaii Five-O' followed a police force who chased down secret agents, international criminals and organized crime members on the Hawaiian Islands, and aired from 1968 to 1980 on CBS. The new version, which stars former rapper Scott Caan (he rapped in the 90's group Whooliganz alongside the Alchemist) has turned out to be one of the year's biggest hits, and averages almost 13 million viewers per episode.
