Lil Kim told Nicki Minaj not to say anything to her until her first week sales numbers come back. Well, the numbers are in and the Young Money star's debut album, Pink Friday, landed in second place, moving over 375,000 copies. Only Kanye West had a better week than Nicki Minaj.
Even more notable is the fact that the femcee made a bit of history with her debut. Pink Friday had the second best opening for a female rapper in the history of Billboard. Only Lauryn Hill's 1998 masterpiece The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill fared better. That classic album sold 423,000 in 1998--the pre-digital era.
